Where In The World Is Scott

1107-Galleta Meadows – Anza Borrego, CA

Elephants, a herd of wild stallions, dragons, sloths, and a huge eagle sitting in the middle of the desert? If you think that’s nuts, then you are in Borrego Springs, CA. Galleta Meadows is a sculpture environment replicating the creatures that lived in the area 3 million years ago. Dennis Avery, land owner of Galleta Meadows Estates in Borrego Springs envisioned the idea of adding ‘free standing art’ to his property with original steel welded sculptures created by ‘Perris Jurassic Park’ owner/artist/welder Ricardo Breceda based in Perris, California. There are 129 metal sculptures located in Borrego Springs.
