Six years in Alaska was a long time for a southern boy. But I did it, met a lot of wonderful people, had great adventures, and am thankful I had the opportunity to explore the Last Frontier. I wanted to be closer to my aging parents and found a new teaching position in Southern California. In August I shipped my stuff and jumped in my car and headed for a 3,500 drive from Anchorage, AK to SoCal. Nine days through some of the most beautiful country in the world and a four-day adventure onboard the Alaska Marine Highway system. Here are some of the sights that presented themselves on the nine-day journey.
This post is one of the segments of a journey driving from Alaska to Southern California.
