For the past three years Janine and I have had a condo in the French Quarter in New Orleans. We have spent many a night there and rented it out when we weren’t. But when you lived in Alaska and attempted to manage a property 3,000 miles away the challenges can get overwhelming. We eventually decided to sell the property so I spent six weeks this past summer living in New Orleans and showing the condo. We did okay on the sale and were very sad to see it go. Janine spent weeks in the condo selling everything and shipping treasures back to Alaska.
When we first purchased the condo, it was dull and drab painted grey and tan. Janine spent weeks painting and furnishing the space to make it a wonderful get-a-way in the Quarter. We also renovated the bathroom and instead of a claw-footed nasty tub, built a walk-in shower with laundry facilities. A lot of sweat equity.
Here are the listing photos in one last goodbye to our NOLA condo.
