One of my goals when traveling is to find a secret spot off the beaten path where it’s just me and nature. My ideal spot is a beautiful or interesting location where it is so quiet you can only hear the blood rushing through your ears. This is my secret spot in Joshua Tree. It’s about a mile off the main road, down a dirt trail and into a private valley surrounded by boulder piles. I went there twice on this trip. Once to find it, and the second time to have my lunch and sit undisturbed for a while. The video is the view from the chair.
