Corn stalks is a small section of the desert outside Stovepipe Wells camp ground in Death Valley, CA where the sand has bunched at the base of these plants and gives the affect of stacked corn fields. The indigenous plants have developed their method for survival against the fierce winds that can blow across the desert floor at upwards of 100 miles per hour.
