1232-Poetry – Anchorage, AK

I was walking across the main park in down town Anchorage when this “street looking” person came up to me. I thought he was going to ask for money and was ready to blow him off. He did not. He apologized for getting my face and asked me if I would take his picture. I said sure. He proceeded to tell me his best friend, who was a poet, recently died and he was going to publicly perform some his poetry in honor of this friend. I took a few shots on his camera and a couple on mine. He thanked me and I went on my way embarrassed I had misread this person’s motives.
