1599-Yukon Crossing

Yukon Crossing is the mid-way point from Fairbanks to Coldfoot on the road to Prudhoe Bay. This is where you stop for gas and have lunch after crossing the Yukon River. There’s not much to tell about this place except I had am amazing lunch. This place serves Vietnamese style noodle soup and the one I got was with braised Yukon King Salmon that was caught a few miles from there. It was wonderful and in such of an inhospitable isolated spot.

Who would have thought you could get this on the Yukon River.

This is the bridge.

Little store and restaurant in the middle of nowhere.
