Hit the 3,000 mile mark today as I cruised into Kamloops, BC. Tomorrow I turn right and begin heading North to Alaska.
Kamloops is a city of 130,000 in the bottom third of British Columbia. It is a lovely town with the nicest people. Strangers on the street say hi to you as they walk by and people respect the law. Every car stops for pedestrians even if you are feet away from crossing the street. If you wave them on, they won’t go until you cross. What a concept where every other place I’ve ever lived it’s “Death Race 200” all the time for you if your walking. I’ve heard more “you betcha” and “ah” then I ever thought I would plus there is a preponderance of good food here. I like the vide here in Canada where ethnic diversity is respected and embraced. Good time ahead in my next few days venturing up the spine of BC.

Chillin’ on the river.
A look across the river to the valley side.
This is how nice and thoughtful Canadians are. This is a free bike
repair station I found walking through the city park.
Looking across the river the borders Kamloops.
